This Katech KAT-7636 (Formerly HME-G68V-2) C5R timing chain for the GM Gen III/IV LSx engine is manufactured to a higher tensile strength for greater accuracy and longevity. This is the same chain used in the C5-R and C6-R racing engines built by Katech. We recommend replacing your factory chain with this upgraded version when doing camshaft installations or other modifications where the chain is easily accessed, especially on higher mileage engines. Never broken in all of C5-R racing and durability testing, this easy replacement utilizes production sprockets.

This GM 3 Bolt 4 Pole timing chain gear is used when converting from a 1 bolt camshaft to 3 bolt camshaft.

These high-quality ARP cam bolts have increased preload clamping force to ensure positive timing gear register. Their increased material strength overcomes valvetrain harmonics and stress.

LS2 style Timing Chain Dampener helps dampen chain whip and extend chain life. This damper will directly replace the later failure-prone spring style chain tensioners. Will not fit LS1, LS6 or 2006-earlier truck blocks
